THE DESIGN TEAM
| Sergio Castillo (producer, playwright) - This production marks Sergio’s third production at The Company of Angels. His previous credits at the Company of Angels include Alley Boy in La Puta Vida Trilogy and The Accidental American in the autobiographical monologue show Bare Naked Angels in Angels Unleashed. He was also seen on the Glendale College stage as Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, for which he received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival nomination, in which he was a semi-finalist competitor for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. Some of his favorite roles include Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, John Proctor in The Crucible, Leonard in Witness for the Prosecution, The Constable of France in Henry V, and Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing. Sergio will be transferring to UCLA in the Fall of 2006 where he will continue to pursue a career as an actor, director, and playwright. | Spencer Howard (associate producer, playwright) - Spencer is extremely pleased to be making his debut with the Company of Angels. He has written several works for the stage, including Sherlock Holmes: the Detective who Loved Me, Hitler and FDR: You I Like, and most recently The Dying of Albert Ball, all of which had their premieres at The Colony Theatre in Burbank. On his website, www.sdhenterprises.com, he writes, produces, and directs The Spencer Howard Show, a satire of late night talk shows. Favorite roles include Long John Silver in Treasure Island, Amanda Wingvalley in For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, and Pooh-Bah in The Mikado. He is currently the production associate at The Colony Theatre. |
| George Mackey (director Men Who Would Be President, De Profundis) - This production marks George’s directing debut here at Company of Angels. Previously he directed for the Glendale College Theatre Guild; The Odd Couple (female version) and One Bullet for which he was a Kennedy Center Regional Directing Finalist. He has also acted on the stage; Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Lord Caversham in An Ideal Husband. This August, George will head to Scotland to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (the world’s largest International Theatre Festival) in the new play Something’s Missing. Upon returning, he plans on bringing his new play Unringing the Bell to the stage. | Lindsay Ferguson (director Love for Sale, Delicate Nothing, Digestion) Naked tales is Lindsay's first endeavor is directing professional theatre. Previously, she has directed short films and various one act plays in college, including a Glendale College version of Love For Sale. She is thrilled to be working with such talented cast and crew. She is studying creative writing at Glendale College and wishes to pursue a career in fiction. Lindsay wishes to thank her casts for Love for Sale, Delicate Nothing, and Digestion, and the producers for all their hard work and countless hours to make this show come to life. |
| Stacy Gilbert (stage manager) Although working backstage for the first time, Stacy has focused on acting with the South Pasadena Drama Company since 2004, and has been in such plays as The Three Musketeers, the Tinman in The Wiz, Arabian Nights, and Gaslight Girl. She is currently working with Metamorphisis, an up-and-coming theatrical company. She is soon to be a senior and plans to continue her love of theatre when she continues on to college. | Brian Cordoba (light board operator) Brian is continuously active in the theatre community here in Los Angeles as well as in Seattle, WA, where he studies Performance Production at Cornish College of the Arts. Over the past five years he has lent his skill to such reputable theatres such as the Colony, Brentwood, Alex, Orpheum, A Noise Within, and The Broadway Performance Hall (Seattle). This summer he crewed Bermuda Avenue Triangle at the Brentwood Theatre, Jay Johnson: The Two and Only at the Colony Theatre, and is currently in pre-production for Aloha Say the Pretty Girls at the Skinner Theatre in Seattle. When not backstage, Brian can be found degrading himself in productions written and produced by Spencer Howard, talk show host extraordinaire. Brian owes much gratitude to both Spencer and Sergio for their continual friendship and support through many years and productions. |
