Weather

September 29th, 2010

Whether the weather be hot,
Whether the weather be cold,
We’ll be together whatever the weather
Whether we’re young or old.

Whether the weather be cold,
Whether the weather be hot,
We’ll be together whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not.

The skies were quite cinematic this evening. Dark and stormy in the east and sunshiney in the west. Thunder! Lightning!

Jagged Red Line

I can never remember how to spell hemorrhage or diarrhea. They’ve got the same rules, but I always need spellcheck to come to my rescue. I’m a pretty good spellist and typer otherwise.

Joining the Circus

San Diego sunsetTrading in those oceanview San Diego sunsets for the fireshow that is sunsets with LA smog.

Sent off a fax to UCSD saying I won’t be a student this fall.

And so I fully embark on this new career in television. Earlier tonight I explained to a friend’s parents why, and the reasons I normally give– financial, stress, living situation– didn’t seem to do it for them. Most of the people I know are completely gung-ho about the whole venture. As am I. But at that point, the list of reasons seemed to spiral into a chasm of self-doubt. It seems you need a master’s degree to meet most job qualifications you’ll find, so obviously I’ll be going back.

A quarter off isn’t that long, is it? Strange.

Our New Play Spectacular 2010

May 20th, 2010

My Festival Director’s note in the program:

By a remarkable coincidence, almost all the plays have torn newspaper on the floor and a dance break.

There are no doors, beds, or couches.

I’m particularly proud of that last thing.
